Making our Cigarettes
Dunkin Smoke USA’s approach to making cigarettes, our core product, involves many phases. With each, we work hard to provide the best quality tobacco products to adults who use them.
Our Approach to Manufacturing
Manufacturing premium tobacco products begins with high-quality tobacco.
The combination of advanced manufacturing technology; well-trained, engaged and experienced employees; and a system of continuous day-to-day improvement positions DSUSA to best maximize our production capacity and manufacture high-quality products at the best possible cost achieving consistency and quality are central to exceeding the expectations of our adult tobacco consumers.
Varieties of Tobacco
The primary component in each of our cigarette brands is tobacco. Therefore, quality control of the types and grades we use is critical. American cigarettes are a blend of two main tobaccos: bright and burley.
Most bright and burley that we use is grown in the United States. Bright, which is often called flue-cured or Virginia tobacco, is similar to the large-leaf Spanish tobacco planted by John Rolfe, the English settler credited with the first successful cultivation of tobacco as a cash crop in Virginia. It is grown primarily in Virginia, the Carolinas, Georgia, Alabama and Florida. Burley tobacco is grown primarily in Kentucky and Tennessee, and also in North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio, Indiana and Missouri.

Smoking & Health Issues
There is no safe cigarette. Cigarettes are addictive and cause serious diseases in smokers. For those concerned about the health risks of smoking, the best thing to do is quit.
Dunkin Smoke USA agrees with the overwhelming medical and scientific consensus that cigarette smoking causes lung cancer, heart disease, emphysema and other serious diseases in smokers. Smokers are far more likely to develop such serious diseases than non-smokers.
These have been, and continue to be, the messages of the U.S. Surgeon General and public health authorities worldwide. Smokers and potential smokers should be guided by these messages when deciding whether or not to smoke.
You can obtain more information directly from these public health organizations about cigarette smoking and disease in smokers: International Agency for Research on Cancer, the World Health Organization, U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the American Cancer Society, and the U.S. Surgeon General.
Our Support of a Consistent Public Health Message
We support a single, consistent public health message on the role of cigarette smoking in the development of disease in smokers, and on smoking and addiction.
Surgeon General Reports on Smoking & Health
The Surgeon General of the United States has been the nation’s leading spokesperson on matters of public health since 1871.
Beginning in 1962, at the request of President John F. Kennedy, the Surgeon General’s office took on the task of reviewing literature on smoking and health and began issuing periodic reports. The first report was published in 1964.

Ingredients
Our Products & Ingredients
U.S.–grown tobacco is the primary ingredient in our premium tobacco products.
We try to strike a reasonable balance between providing detailed information about the ingredients in our products while protecting our proprietary recipes from disclosure to competitors.
On this webpage, you’ll find lists of flavorings and other ingredients for Dunkin Smoke USA’s products sold in the U.S. You’ll also find a list identifying ingredients at levels of 0.1% or more of the weight of the column of tobacco in each cigarette product, organized by brand name.
Cigarette Tobacco & Flavor Ingredients
This list includes ingredients in all of Dunkin Smoke USA’s cigarette products. Not all of the ingredients in this list are present in each cigarette product, and no particular cigarette product contains all of the ingredients.
For each ingredient, this alphabetical list includes:
* the “quantity not exceeded” (calculated from the highest level of use in a single cigarette and expressed as a percentage of the total weight of the tobacco); and
* the function of the ingredient.
We have chosen to provide a single list rather than a list for each cigarette product to avoid disclosing to our competitors the specific flavorings that give each cigarette product its own unique flavor, taste and aroma.
